Support Our Mission →
Everstead is a name built around two ideas:
representing consistency, lasting support, and the belief that every young person deserves someone who continues to show up for them.
representing stability, grounding, reliability, and a safe foundation.
Together, Everstead represents a steady presence through every stage of a young person’s journey.
At Everstead Youth Services, our mission is to provide safe, supportive, and relationship-based services that help youth build stability, confidence, and the skills they need to thrive.
We are committed to creating environments where young people feel heard, respected, valued, and supported. Through trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and individualized care, we work alongside youth, families, and community partners to promote positive development, meaningful connections, and lasting change.
Our vision is a future where every young person has access to a safe and supportive environment where they can belong, grow, and reach their full potential.
Everstead Youth Services strives to be a trusted leader in youth services—recognized for compassionate care, strong relationships, innovative programming, and our commitment to helping youth move forward with confidence and hope.
We prioritize the physical, emotional, and psychological safety of every young person, creating environments where youth can feel secure, supported, and respected.
We believe meaningful relationships are the foundation of positive change. We build trust through consistency, genuine care, and showing up for youth when they need us most.
We honor the individuality, dignity, culture, identity, voice, and lived experiences of every young person and family we support.
We help youth recognize their strengths, build confidence, develop independence, and take an active role in shaping their future.
We believe every young person has the capacity to grow and succeed. We celebrate progress, encourage resilience, and support youth through every step of their journey.
A steady presence. A stronger future.
Every young person deserves a place where they feel safe, heard, and valued.
Everstead Youth Services was built on the belief that stability and meaningful relationships can create the foundation for lasting growth. We provide individualized, youth-centered services designed to meet young people where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.
Our approach is grounded in safety, consistency, compassion, accountability, and respect. We recognize that every youth has a unique story, and we work to understand that story rather than define a young person by their challenges.
At Everstead, we believe progress does not always happen in a straight line. Sometimes it begins with a safe place, a trusted relationship, or simply having someone who continues to show up.
We are here to be that steady presence.
At Everstead, our approach shapes the way we build relationships, respond to challenges, create routines, and support each young person's development.
We recognize that trauma can influence how a young person understands themselves, relationships, emotions, and their surroundings.
Our staff approach challenging situations with patience, understanding, and appropriate support. We focus on creating environments that reduce unnecessary stress while helping youth develop healthy coping and regulation strategies.
We look beyond challenges and recognize the strengths, abilities, interests, and potential of every young person.
Youth are encouraged to explore their interests, build on existing abilities, develop new skills, and recognize their accomplishments. Progress is meaningful at every stage.
Every young person is different, and their support should reflect that.
Care and programming are individualized around each youth's needs, preferences, goals, interests, identity, abilities, and circumstances. Whenever appropriate, youth are encouraged to participate in decisions that affect their daily lives and care.
Every young person deserves meaningful access to support, opportunities, activities, and personal development.
Everstead strives to ensure that youth have opportunities to participate, learn, develop skills, express themselves, and pursue their interests regardless of gender, gender identity, ethnicity, culture, background, ability, or lived experience.
We support children and youth from diverse cultural, racial, religious, family, and social backgrounds, recognizing that every young person brings their own experiences, strengths, identity, and way of understanding the world.
Our services are inclusive of youth of all gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, cultural and faith backgrounds, abilities, and family structures. We recognize that identity can be an important part of a young person’s wellbeing and sense of belonging, and we strive to create environments where youth can express themselves without fear of judgment or exclusion.
We also understand that young people may be navigating experiences related to trauma, family disruption, mental health, developmental needs, school challenges, behavioural concerns, or changes in their relationships and environments. Our role is not to define a young person by these experiences, but to understand them, build on their strengths, and provide the support they need to move forward.
Everstead Youth Services provides specialized residential placements for children and youth with higher support needs, complex trauma, behavioural challenges, and diverse emotional, social, and developmental needs.
Our residential program offers a structured, home-based environment with 24/7 staffing and individualized support tailored to each young person's needs, routines, goals, and level of care.
We believe meaningful progress happens when young people feel safe, understood, supported, and given opportunities to participate in their own growth.

At Everstead Youth Services, quality care begins with the people providing it. Our staff are selected not only for their experience and qualifications, but for their ability to build genuine, respectful relationships with young people.
Our team members bring experience in areas such as youth services, child and family support, mental health, addictions, crisis intervention, community services, and behavioural support. Staff qualifications and experience are matched to the needs of the youth we support and the requirements of the programs in which they work.
Before working directly with youth, staff are required to complete the appropriate screening, documentation, orientation, and training processes. This includes required background and reference checks, confidentiality and privacy requirements, role-specific documentation, and training relevant to the safety and wellbeing of the youth in our care.
Everstead is committed to ongoing professional development so our staff can continue building their knowledge, responding to emerging needs, and maintaining the standards expected within youth-serving environments.
